Based on a news report from Vanguard newspaper, six policemen were, weekend, arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police X Squad for extortion. Also arrested were two impersonators who wore Police uniform to escort a lorry and an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA for allegedly extorting money from a motorist. The newspaper report further stated that the policemen were arrested at Oyingbo and Gbagada areas of the state while allegedly extorting money from motorcycle and commercial bus operators.
