World's First all-diamond ring (150-carat)
GENEVA, Switzerland--Shawish's President and CEO Mohamed Shawesh has created an 150-carat ring carved from a single diamond which is expected to sell for $70 million - setting the world record for the world's first all-diamond ring. It took a full year to carve the World's First All-Diamond Ring, which has been copyrighted and is expected to sell for $70 million.
"A ring made entirely of a faceted diamond has always seemed like a fantasy," said Mohamed Shawish, president of Geneva-based Shawish Jewellery.
"To create the perfect diamond ring is the epitome of art."
Shawish said it took a year to get the copyright for the design and then the company had to purchase a special laser to cut the diamond into the perfect circle for the band
