BREAKING NEWS: Car bomb detonates during military raid In Kano
According to CBS News, Nigeria's military says two suspected members of a radical Islamist sect were killed and two soldiers wounded when a car bomb exploded during a raid on a suspected hideout for the group. Brig. Gen. Iliyasu Abba told journalists Saturday the attack happened around 1 a.m. in the northern city of Kano. Abba said suspected members of the sect known as Boko Haram detonated the explosive
during the raid in Sabuwar Gandu neighborhood of the city.
Abba said authorities arrested four wives and eight children at the compound after the blast, which left broken glass, blood and part of the home destroyed.
