Trayvon Martin: Victim of Racism or Flawed Legal System In The USA?

           Trayvon Martin                                                          Trayvon Martin

Trayvon Martin was a 17 year old teenager who on a faithful day set out to visit his father, only to be shot at close range in the chest by a neighbourhood watch who claimed he acted in self defence. Trayvon Martin did not have a gun neighter did he have a knife, all he had with him were a candy which was in his pocket and his cell phone with which he was speaking to his 15 year old girl friend until he was brutally murdered in cold blood. The killer neighbourhood watch claimed to have shot Trayvon Martin because according to him , Martin's "hoodie made him look suspicious".

Trayvon's Mum and Dad                                 George Zimmerman the killer captain

George Zimmerman did not know that Trayvon Martin was speaking with his girl friend on phone while he was following him, he did not know that Martin was actually telling his girl friend that someone was trying to hurt him. George had called 911 to claim that a junkie was about to attack him, according to recorded conversation between George  and the 911 operator shows that he was even cautioned against following the man he claimed looked suspicious, but he still went ahead and shot the teenager in the chest at close range.

Please read the conversation between George Zimmerman and the 911 dispatcher before he shot Trayvon Martins.

Zimmerman's Call To 911

"This guy looks like he's up to no good, or he's on drugs or something," Zimmerman tells the 911 operator. "He's just staring, looking at all the houses. Now he's coming toward me. He's got his hand in his waistband. Something's wrong with him."
Zimmerman described Martin as wearing a hoodie and sweatpants or jeans.
Zimmerman continues: "He's coming to check me out. He's got something in his hands. I don't know what his deal is. Can we get an officer over here?"
"These ass holes always get away," he says later to the operator. Zimmerman is then heard giving directions to the dispatcher.
"Shit, he's running," Zimmerman says.
"Are you following him?" the dispatcher asks.
"Yes," Zimmerman responds.
"We don't need you to do that," the dispatcher says.

Zimmerman continued to pursue Martin, and moments later other calls started coming in to 911. Neighbours reported hearing screams, cries for help and then gunfire. Some sobbed as they talked about a dead boy and a man standing over him. In one recording, the sounds of wailing and what seem to be pleas for help and "No! No!" can be heard.

Meanwhile, the 15 year old girl is giving another account out the last, horrifying moments of Martin's life based on the conversation on phone at that time.
"He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man," the girl told ABC News. "I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run."
According to accounts gleaned from 911 audio recordings made the night of the killing and the teenage girl's statements, Martin eventually did run. But George Zimmerman wasn't far behind, and soon the two would be face to face. Zimmerman, the self-appointed captain of the neighbourhood watch, was armed with a 9 mm pistol. Trayvon had little more than a bag of candy in his pocket.
"Trayvon said, 'What are you following me for?' and the man said, 'What are you doing here?' Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the headset just fell. I called him again and he didn't answer the phone."
The line went dead, according to the girl's account.

Now the annoying thing is that when police men were drafted to the crime scene, even though they (police) recieved calls from people that a boy was shot, they still sent Narcotics detectives to the scene and not Homicide, which failed to ensure that George was tested and questioned based on the accounts he gave and that of witnesses. Another sad part of this story is that in the days after the shooting, witnesses have said they had trouble reaching the police to give their statements. Others would say that investigators twisted their testimony to fit a self-defence theory, asked leading questions during questioning and that, on the night of the killing, investigators peppered Zimmerman with questions before he could tell his story.
"It was self-defence," one witness said an investigator mouthed at the scene.

Interestingly Washington post have brought out certain facts about the 28 year old killer (Zimmerman) which shows that he has been doing this kind of things before now. According to Washington Post, Zimmerman has allegations of domestic violence and criminal misconduct in his past. In one case, Zimmerman allegedly pushed a state alcohol agent because he was arresting one of his friends. Zimmerman avoided conviction by entering a pretrial-diversion program, according to the Sentinel. In another case, a woman accused Zimmerman of domestic violence, but Zimmerman filed a petition “of his own” the following day, the Sentinel reports. The news site notes that injunctions have kept the cases’ outcomes sealed. Reports also shows that he (Zimmerman) was released from the Orange County jail Florida in 2005.
Please share this until millions of people from around the world know of this and raise their voices against the unjust killing of a teenager whose life was cut short brutally. Please share
