Police I.G Confirms Worsening Security Situation Of The Country

                             
 
Daily Trust reported that the acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar has said that the security challenges facing the country have become very worrisome. Abubakar, who spoke in Calabar   during the commissioning of the Cross River State Emergence Response Centre Quick Intervention Squad, said, “The security situation in the country is worrisome. Although, the primary responsibility of the police and that of the security agencies is security, we must note that security is everybody’s business”.

The IGP, who said Federal highway patrol would soon return, commended the Cross River State government for supporting security agencies in the state in the discharge of their duties. Responding, Governor Liyel Imoke said the stability and development of any society is dependent on the lives and security of the people.
