History Made As First Sloar Powered Airplane Makes First Transcontinental Flight

The plane which was built in Switzerland, took off today from Payerne with the aim of reaching North Africa next week. The Pilot Andre Borschberg plans to reach Madrid, Spain by Friday with the jumbo jet sized plane.
