There are reports in some local newspapers that the president has sent a list of candidates considered for ministerial appointments to the SSS for screening. Punch newspaper reported that a former National Chairman, the PDP, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo; ex-Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife; former PDP National Organising Secretary, Uche Secondus; former PDP National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Rufai Alkali; former PDP National Legal Adviser, Olusola Oke; Senator Abba Aji and some of the aspirants who withdrew for
the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, at the party’s last national convention, were said to be on the list.
Another person whose name is on the list according to Punch newspaper sources is Mr. Timi Alaibe who was former Special Advicer on Niger Delta. The reports also indicates that Timi Alaibe will replace the present Minister of Petroleum Resourses Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
