State Governors elected under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) have renewed calls for the introduction of state police structure during a courtesy call to Edo Sate governor's office on the murder of his Personal secretary. While trying to justify the calls, the governors said the situation where the Military, Police and SSS are under the control of federal government is not good enough and that there is need for state governors to be responsible for the security of the various states they govern. The state governors cited the recent unfortunate killing of Edo state governor's Personal Secretary.
Bearing his mind at the meeting, Edo state governor spoke bitterly about the present security apparatus that he does not trust it and that he intends to look for another means of protecting the people of the state.
