Nigerians May Soon Start Paying More For GSM Calls

This is coming as the Association of licensed Telecommunication Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) has threatened to introduce discriminatory tariffs based on tax regimes and operating environments in different states. According to the Chaiman of the association, Gbenga Adebayo who said that subscribers in states that were hostile to service providers through tax administration would pay more for telecoms services.
“What we are going to do is to adjust the meter so that people making calls from such states pay more than
what others are paying,”. He further stated that “We are not going to beg them, we are not going to negotiate with them if they decide to close down a site because the operators refuse to pay them,”

Na wa o, these guys no know wetin dem dey do at all, they have been ripping us off and yet tell us to go to hell, imagine these guys have been rendering very poor services to Nigerians and they still want to charge more for poor service delivery? No be them fault, na our leaders dey tell dem say we be mumu for this country.
