REVEALED: Fuel Scarcity Is NNPC's Fault - Petroleum Tank Farm Owners

Nigerians have been badly hit by shortage of fuel, nobody seems to know what the government is doing to ensure that every fuel station in the country has fuel to sell to Nigerians. Since this scarcity has been going on, nobody has come out to tell Nigerians why we still do not get to buy fuel whenever we need to, why are there still long queues for fuel at petrol stations across the country. Meanwhile Jetties and Petroleum Tank Farmers of Nigeria on Monday, said the Federal Government should own up that there was a supply gap in
the distribution of petroleum products, instead of shifting blame. Executive Secretary, JEFTON, Mr. Enoch Kanawa, stated this in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents. He said, “Government should not run away from the fact that there is a supply gap because marketers are not importing and the NNPC cannot satisfy the consumption demand of fuel. “We can’t import because we don’t have money to do so as many of us have not been paid. Even as we speak, the 45 days payment which was put in place under the Sovereign Debt Note had been overtaken by event because nobody is following the timetable again.”
