Boko Haram Plans To Bomb Jos On Sunday - Plateau State Police Commissioner

The  Plateau State Commissioner of Police , Mr. Emmanuel Ayeni, on Thursday stated that the Police command has uncovered plans by terrorists to launch some bomb in Jos on Sunday.
Speaking at the security stakeholders meeting in Jos, the state’s capital, Mr Ayeni warned that there is an urgent need to re-strategize security in the state.

“This bomb threat is very, very real and I know it because I’m in position to know as the state Commissioner of Police. We are almost in a state of emergency and everyone is looking for a way of surviving and by the grace of God very soon everything will be over” he stated.
“The threat of suicide bombing by the Boko Haram sect is real. We have seen it and it has claimed the lives of innocent citizens.”

He urged residents to provide credible information about terrorist’s hideout to the police force and other security operatives in the state, adding that it is only in doing that terrorist and other criminal elements can be fished out and dealt with.

“It is time for you to expose these evil people living within you. We have distributed numbers and nobody has ever called to give us tips about their activities in the state; you should expose them before the havoc is done” Mr Ayeni appealed. The Police boss also stated that “you should not leave the responsibility of protecting lives only to the security personnel; everybody should assume the status of an intelligent officer and be a pragmatic informant, who will always volunteer information only that will help us nip in the bud the activities of Boko Haram.”
