Youth Corper Survived Boko Haram In Adamawa But Gunned Down In Onitsha On Her Way Home

                                         

A female youth corper who was posted to serve in Adamawa state, recently called her parents that she was at Upper Iweka in Onitsha on her way home, that she will see them in Oweri the next morning. The corper 24-year-old Augusta Chizoba Ndukwu of Umufu-Amaimo, Ikeduru Local Government area of Imo State was not seen by her folks the next day as promised, and her folks could not reach her on phone. Her corpse was found under a bridge along Upper Uweka the next morning with gunshot wounds on her chest. Her bags and popcorn were found beside are lifeless body.

Nigeria's Military Officers Arrested Over Suspected Links With Boko Haram

                                         

According to Reuters reports, Nigeria's army said on Sunday it had arrested several security officials on suspicion of having connections with Islamist sect Boko Haram, which has killed hundreds in an insurgency this year. The government has regularly said it believes politicians and security agents are involved in the revolt, which poses the biggest security threat in Africa's leading oil exporter.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested one Abubakar Tijani Sheriff for trying to move $7,000,000 cash out of Nigeria through the Muritala Muhammed International Airport. The man who was arrested yesterday told the commission that he moves cash for twenty Nigerian individuals, a report they are currently investigating.

5-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted And Beaten To Death By Foster Parents

                            

Residents of Rajiv Awas Vihar in India are angry about the sexual assault and death of a 5-year-old girl by her foster parents. The foster parents are currently in police custody for this crime as the police are still investigating the crime. According to recent evidence by medical experts, the girl was sexually assaulted and there are traces of belt on her body especially the iron part of a belt. Medical experts have also stated that they discovered that the girl suffered from suffocation from duct tape. The couple will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

In Texas, a 4-year-old pit bull has mauled a 3-month-old boy to death while his parents were questioned by the police outside their home in Texas. The report further suggests that the baby fell asleep on his grand father's arm before he was properly laid on the bed in order for the grand father to join his son and the police outside their house. A 75-year-old herbalist in Ibadan has been arrested by the police at his Apete residence. His arrest came as a result of complaints lodged against him by Apete residence about his activities, and when the police got to his house, they found two human skulls in a container. A Woman In Germany Killed Her Five New Born Babies Because Her Husband Does Not Want More Children

                                              

A 28-year-old woman in western Germany has been arrested and charged with man slaughter, for killing her five new born babies. Although she confessed to killing two of the children, but police have found three more bodies in the cellar of her house. She turned herself in after the police took a DNA sample, the case has been under investigation since 2006 after the police discovered the body of a newborn was found in a paper-recycling plant near the northern city of Flensburg. Her husband has denied knowledge of having those children, they both have two children alive.

A middle aged woman was reportedly hit and killed by a moving train in Lagos early this morning. The sad incident happened on the rail track in Oshodi, as the woman tried to avoid the muddy water beside the rail track. She was reportedly killed by the train, and her body was dragged along the track by the train for about one kilometre. Her body was mutilated as a result of the dragging. I do not understand why there are not barricades along our rail tracks in this part of the world, authorities should at least understand that there is need to prevent senseless loss of human lives. Pregnant Woman And Policeman Killed As Policemen Chase Armed Robbers In Bayelsa

                                    

Based on a report by Vanguard newspaper, a pregnant woman was, yesterday, shot dead during police pursuit of a car used by suspected robbers in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. One of the policemen  attached to the new security outfit in the state, Operation Doo Akpo, also fell from the tail-board of the police pick-up van that was in hot pursuit of the vehicle used by the suspected robbers. He died on the spot as he was said to have hit his head on the tarred road. The tragic incident, which occurred at 2.30p.m., in Yenizue-Epie suburb of the capital, caused gridlock on the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road.

Two armed gunmen yesterday stormed the permanent site of the University of Jos yesterday. They reportedly injured two female students of the English Department of the institution, the two students are Uju Imo and Esther Ugwu. According to Vanguard newspaper reports, Ogun State police  command yesterday  said, it had arrested two teenagers for allegedly  raping a palm oil hawker, on Secretariat Road, Imeko Local Government Area.
The two suspects, Tosin Adebayo,25, and Opeyemi Adebayo, 19 were paraded  along with three other accomplices who were said to have forcefully dragged the victim to a corner and had a carnal knowledge of her.

Police Corporal Die On The Spot As His Car Fell Off A Bridge In Abuja

                                        

Isah Obadiah, a corporal with the Special Anti Robbery Squad of the FCT Command has died when the car he drove earlier today fell off a bridge near Wuse Market, Abuja. Isah reportedly died on the spot as the impact of the crash was so severe that the car's engine was separated from the body. The late police Corporal was on his way home when he met his death. ALARMING: 92 Percent Of Prison Inmates In Anambra Are Awaiting Trial

                                           

If the reports credited to the Anambra State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice is anything to go by, then there is urgent need for the Governor of Anambra state to wake up from his slumber. The report states that the  Attorney-General of the state said 92 per cent of inmates of the three federal prisons in the state were awaiting trial. According to him, out of 1,379 inmates in the federal prisons, only 109 were convicts and the rest 1,270 were awaiting trial. He further lamented that the total staff strength of 56 law officers in the state Ministry of Justice was grossly inadequate to meet the number of cases pending in courts. Rocket Launchers, AK-47 Rifles And Thousands Of Live Ammunitions Discovered In A Lagos Warehouse

                                   

There are reports that two rocket launchers, 36 AK-47 rifles and 40,000 live ammunitions have been seized by security agents in Ajangbadi area of Lagos State on Monday. The seizure was made by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) at a warehouse that was used in storing assorted food items. This incident happened in  Nkpogoro, Ndibe in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The man is a 46 year-old man, his name is Kelechi Nnali, he has two wives and many children. He was reportedly caught having sex with a goat along the road when a boy sighted him. 19-Year-Old Boy Stabs Friend To Death In Bayelsa

                                              

According to Vanguard newspaper reports, a 19 years old boy, John Oweikabo, was Wednesday stabbed to death in a fight at the riverisde Obrigbene community in Ekeremor local government Area of Bayelsa State. The incident according to a eyewitnesses occurred at about 7.30pm  following a scuffle between the deceased and his close friend. The late John was reportedly stabbed in the neck with a knife by his friend, Daniel Esamgbala, who later fled the community on realizing the enormity of his action.
