Unknown Gunmen Storm Zamfara Village At Mid Night, Killed 18 People Including Village Head


The incidet happened when about 20 armed men stormed Kaboro community in the Dansadau Emirate of Zamfara, killing 18 people, including the village head. The bandits reportedly swooped on the village at about 4 a.m. and began shooting sporadically. The village head, identified as Alhaji Maiyara, came out to plead with the gunmen to stop the heinous crime. But they got at him and killed him. According to an eye witness account, he was killed instantly when they felt that he was disturbing them with his endless begging after he was warned to shut up and keep off. The report further stated that the armed men fired from different angles of the village and killed whoever attempted to escape, after killing the village head.

According to The Nation newspaper reports, four policemen yesterday collapsed at the Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin-City, during the pull-out parade of the Edo State Commissioner of Police (CP), Olayinka Balogun. He was set on fire while he was presenting a radio show right inside the studio by suspected mafia men. According to Associated Press reports, Madonna drew boos and triggered a walkout by several concertgoers after she touted President Barack Obama on her "MDNA Tour" in New Orleans. US Reveals Milestone Blueprint To Counter Terrorism


According to Washington Post reports, over the past two years, the Obama administration has been secretly developing a new blueprint for pursuing terrorists, a next-generation targeting list called the “disposition matrix.” The matrix contains the names of terrorism suspects arrayed against an accounting of the resources being marshaled to track them down, including sealed indictments and clandestine operations. U.S. officials said the database is designed to go beyond existing kill lists, mapping plans for the “disposition” of suspects beyond the reach of American drones.

A 12-year-old pupil of a secondary school in Awka, Anambra State, Miss Chidimma Ukachukwu, has died after she was allegedly flogged by her teacher for failing to do her homework. The student was reportedly flogged until she became unconscious and rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Although the girls has been buried and her father said that he believes the sad incident was an act of God, but the police PRO of the state has promised to investigate the matter.

The girl who reportedly shot the intruder with the family gun, was hiding inside the closet at home before she pulled the trigger after she was convinced that there was an invader in her house. According to a news reports in the US, the family of a 14-year-old US girl is suing the maker of the drink Monster Energy, after the teenager, who had a pre-existing heart condition, died after consuming two cans of it. According to PM News reports, the accident occurred when the driver of a blue Toyota Camry apparently lost control after experiencing brake failure. The motorcyclist who was riding by the side of the road and heading towards the Omole traffic point was crushed against a building on Plot 22, Lateef Jakande Way, Agidingbi. The passenger’s left arm was broken into two and only held by her skin. Many bystanders and others who rushed to the scene wept uncontrollably at the scene of the accident. According to an eye witness account, Okada riders this morning descended on BRT buses in Lagos, vowing to ensure that the buses will not operate in the state anymore. This is coming as the riders were seen at Ijora Olopa and Iddo areas of the state destroying the BRT buses and beating the drivers and conductors of the state approved buses.
