Joint Task Force (JTF) chases ex-militants and sea pirates out of Bayelsa creeks

                              

Following the killings of military men in the creeks of Bayelsa state, the military Joint Task Force has invaded the creeks with the intention of cleansing it and ensuring that militants responsible are brought to book. As a result of the invasion, ex-militants and sea pirates have fled the creeks for fear of being killed by the JTF. Unconfirmed reports also suggests that the leader of the ex-militants that carried out the attack, which killed the military personnels has been killed in a shootout with the Nigerian Navy patrol team in the creeks.
