The lower chamber of the Nigerian House of Parliament became rowdy today, following a motion moved by one of the lawmakers to invite the CBN Governor over his recent donations to Boko Haram victims in some parts of the country. While some members supported the motion, there were some who were of the opinion that the Sanusi acted in him constitutional capacity as the CBN Governor, has the right to make contributions towards construction of infrastructures and provision of relief to victims of emergencies.
A faction of the lawmakers staged a walk out, despite the passing of the motion by the Speaker. The house has agreed to invite Sanusi to explain where he got the power to release funds to build infrastructure and provide relieve materials.
