Hausa/ Yoruba Clash Averted in Mile 12 Lagos

According to Punch Newspaper thank God for the timely intervention of the men of Nigerian Police Force, there would have been a major ethnic clash in Lagos yesterday in Mile 12 Lagos. The trouble was reportde to have started when some Hausa yoths were spotted dropping the corpse of a Yoruba youngman in a river early in the morning. The youths were reportedly accosted by the Yoruba youths of the area who demanded to know the reason why the Housa youths killed the youngman. Trouble was triggered when the Housa youths threatened to fighjt those questionning them. Although the Hausa youths distroyed properties and looted some shopes in two streets in the area, the Hausa elders were seen cautionning them
