Jos church bombing and reprisal attacks, an indication of a people being pushed to the wall

The recent spate of bombings in the northern parts of country has gone beyond becoming worrisome, it calls for long overdue urgent sit down of all stakeholders of this country. While recent calls for Sovereign National Conference have been downplayed by the ruling party and major northern political class, nobody seems to know the direction of the present horrific trend of bombing in the country.
The death of two foreigners has also opened another chapter of this sad events in the history of this great nation. while I do not want to dwell on details of these bombings, I want to bring the attantion of the authorities to one simple fact, and that there is need to quickly arrest this trend otherwise it may be the beginning of the collapse of a country called Nigeria. Yesterday's reports of reprisal attacks that followed the bombing of a church in Jos is just a glaring clue of things to come if this issue is not stopped. The painful part is that those that were killed in the reprisal attacks were not the ones who carried out the attacks, they also have families who will grieve on their losses.

I think my government should do more, I know the security agencies are doing their best, I know they are working round the clock as they have claimed if not they wouldnt have made the progress and arrests they have made, but they need to do more and those in power should stop the usual "we will bring the perpetrators to book" speech and start showing we Nigerians that they are truly willing to bring them to book. I write this out of concern as a young Nigerian who wants a better future for his generation, and as a youngman who loves the nation called Nigeria. Good bless Nigeria.
