Following the accusation by the SEC DG, that the House Committee Chairman on Capital Market and other Financial Institutions Hon. Herman Hembe solicited for N44 million bribe from her, there are indications that the committee chairman will be asked to step down for investigations to be carried out on the allegations. This is coming up as the house leadership has mandate the Ethics and Privileges Committee toMeanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has also started it investigation, this is as a result of the chairman of the commission's resolve to constitute the team that will investigate the matter. According to the EFCC, the commission will invite both the SEC DG and Members of the committee, and SEC top executives. I just hope the dg can back up her claims, we are watching.
