Nigerian Politicians plan to stop workers from going on Strike

Something came up at the senate yesterday, as Senator Heineken Lokpobiri a man from President Goodluck Jonathan's state sponsored a bill for an Act to further amend the Trade Union Act, Cap.T14 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 as amended 2005 to make provisions for ballot as a requirement before any action taken by trade unions and for other matter connected therewith 2012.
The bill which was reported to have caused uproar in the senate was shouted down by many senators before its sponsor could finish presenting it. Senator Chris Ngige was reported to have called the bill "anti people".

My question is this; does this mean that the president still intends to take this price of petrol back to N141? because recent events shows that something is about to happen very soon around petrol and fuel subsidy. Even the Senate President was reported to have postponed the hearing of the bill just as he gave the sponsor a soft landing.
