WHY IS THE CURFEW IN GOMBE DIFFERENT FROM THAT OF OTHER CITIES? Your Excellency,
The government is fond of spending much money on security operations without looking into the causes of crimes & situation that can also help in reducing the spending. The people of Gombe are subjected under undue hardship as a result of the curfew imposed in the state capital for almost a month now. Looking at the ci...rcumstances that prompted the curfew, Sir, you will understand that the Boko Haram attack was not only organized & calculated, but it was notified before the action. It was also clear that the situation is not different from other attacks that took place in other cities, but the citizens in those cities have gain their freedom by lifting the curfew after a little while, understanding that the business activities of citizens are adversely affected.
Recently, you made clarification on the importance of people of Gombe having their freedom & fairness by way of empowering them so that they can go about doing businesses that can help develop our state. I am confident that you are aware of how the curfew is crippling businesses like MAI NAMA, PHARMACIES, SHOPS, other petty trading from our mothers & sisters, seriously. Women & children were aggrieved as a result of the attacks & more frustrated as the curfew is still biting hard on their lives.
May you kindly consider all these and relax the time to help improve the situation on ground. By doing just that, people will appreciate your person & salute your leadership wisdom.
