Italy May Suspend Football For Years - Prime Minister

Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti has called for the suspension of football in the country for two to three years because of widespread match fixing scandals that are rocking the nations football. Monti who expressed sadness after about 30 homes of people who were connected to match fixing in the Seria A, Seria B and other lower leagues were searched.

In his words, " I wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to suspend the game for two to three years" the Prime
Minister went further to bear his mind that “It’s particularly sad when a world which should be an expression of the highest values – sport, youth, competition, fairness turns out to be a mass of foul play, falsehood and demagoguery.”

This is exactly what we need for Nigerian football to also move forward, is there even an iota of integrity amongst those that administer the game in this part of the world?
