Man Hacks 2 Brothers To Death In Osun State

There are reports that a middle aged man, Deji Oloyede, yesterday hacked two brothers, Ajani Awodele and Julius Awodele to death with an axe in Osun state. Deji was said to be working with the two brothers on a farm they cultivated palm kernel and had been doing so for about three days ago.

According to Daily Trust reports, the three of them also usually went for outing together and drank local gin but things went awry in the early hours of the day when the man allegedly hacked the two brothers to death with the axe they used in cultivating palm kernel. Their neighbours were at a loss on what could have prompted him to kill the two brothers, since there was no exchange of hot words or disagreement before the incident. The sight was a gory one because he used the axe to dismember parts of their bodies while one limb and a head were cut into pieces.

According to those in the neighbourhood who did not want their names in print, the suspect made an attempt to run away but was apprehended by the neighborhours. When asked about the state of mind of the suspect, they said he was sane, but might have acted under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
