Nigerian Power Play: SEC DG Suspended, Her Office Locks Changed Overnight

I am really getting scared of the future of this country, I am scared because every technocrat who has come into the country to change things positively are always disgraced. According to Premium Times the crisis in the Security and Exchange Commission assumed a new dimension Tuesday morning as the Director General of the agency was locked out of her office. Arunma Oteh arrived at her office in the Central Business District, Abuja, this morning to find that the lock had been changed overnight.

Premium Times have also revealed that the locks were changed on the orders of the Board which met

Monday, resolving that Ms Oteh should proceed on suspension while the allegations of misappropriation of funds levelled against her are investigated.

Reports have revealed the DG,  challenged the Board's decision and vowed not to comply. Members then conducted a clandestine operation at the office complex during which the locks to Ms Oteh's office were changed to prevent her from getting access.

Apparently angry and frustrated, the embattled DG was seen making frantic telephone calls to yet unknown persons.
