There are reports that some hoodlums stormed Ebute-Meta area of Lagos earlier this morning at about 12:am shooting sporadically, the hoodlums reportedly numbering over 20 were chased away by men of Iponri Police Station around 2:am. The hoodlums came back after the policemen left the area around 8:am shooting one young man in the mouth, and showering another woman with hot water. No one is sure of where the hoodlums came from, but reports from some quarters claim that they are armed robbers, while some say they are hoodlum from another neighbourhood who came to make trouble. Lots of shops were looted, cars vandalised and unsuspecting commuters were attacked, streets affected included Brickfield, Moshood Abiola Road (formerly Apapa Road), Daudu Lane and Olokodana.
