A man Chris Abasuonu was the best man to the Mr and Mrs Anyawu during their wedding. Chris reportedly spent his money to sow the suit he wore for his friend's wedding, but demanded to be paid back the 11,000 Naira he spend on the suit by the couple. Mr Anyawu reportedly got bitter about his friend's request and told his wife about it. According to PM News reports, the couple paid him the money but demanded to collect the suit since they have paid for it.
Trouble started when the Anyawus heard that Chris had been telling people that they borrowed money for their wedding, the wife got angry and went to her husband's house to collect the suit only for Chris to lock the door to his apartment, and tried to strangle the woman. The woman was reportedly saved by neighbours who heard her cry for help. Chris was arraigned before a court in Lagos, but was remanded in prison until he fulfils his bail conditions. Na wa o, na by force to wear suit if you no get money?
