Nigerian Army Colonel Assault Nasarawa State Offical For Marking His Building For Demolition

An official of the Nasarawa State Urban Development Board (NUDB) has been assualted by a Colonel of the Nigerian Army for mark marking his property for demilition. According to a Daily Trust report, letter of complaint of assault on the board’s staff, Haske Husseini, was addressed to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Sani Abacha Road in Mararaba, and signed by the zonal manager of NUDB.

The report further stated that the assaulted staff earlier marked the colonel’s building for demolition because it was not in accordance with the approved site plan, and that he went back there a second time only to discover that work was still on-going at the site. As he was discussing with the engineers at the site trying to enquire if proper procedure was followed, he was told that the developer was at the site.  He then sought explanation from the developer, and instead of proffering an answer, the developer started slapping him. The colonel threatened that he will be taken to the barracks and detained if he ever returned to the site again
