There reports that Kali Umar, son of Nasarawa state governor has been detained by security operatives in Malaysia. The youngman was reportedly arrested for possesing drugs and gun in the country. Kali Umar, a son of the governor's first wife was a student of Nasarawa state University before he was sent out to further his studies in Malaysia by his father (the state governor). There are reports that he was arrested sometime in June 2012 and that he is still in police custody out there in Malaysia despite the efforts of his father to secure his release. There are no official comments from the state government about this yet, but I will keep you updated as soon as some developments come up on this.
